Montagues Farm - an outline

We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our holiday let accommodation and now have an additional site called Montagues Farm which is situated about a mile and a half away from Coppins Farm and still in the Parish of Alphamstone.

Montagues is on the edge of Alphamstone village and comprises 10 acres dedicated to wild flowers and New woodland of 12 years.

Montagues Farm was put into Natural England Stewardship in 2013 with the aim of re-instating wild flower meadows. The UK has experienced a dramatic decline in wildflower meadow habitats, with over 97% lost since the 1930s.

This leaves only about 1% of the UK’s land area covered by flower-rich grasslands. This loss has significant consequences for biodiversity, as wildflowers are crucial food sources and habitats for many insects and other wildlife. We hope we are doing our bit to reverse the trend and Montagues is certainly a very special place.

Now the home of our Glamping Lorry holiday accommodation which offers a truly tranquil place to stay and enjoy nature at its best.

There are footpaths close by and guests at Montagues are welcome to walk on and around Coppins Farm too.
